About the Practitioner ☯︎

Jeff Jones

I respect everyone; I do not respect everyone’s behaviors ☯︎💖

My intention in working with you is as follows…. Do no harm and take not shit. Feel free to call me out on this if you notice something different. How else am I going to learn and make an adjustment if appropriate?

Someone asked me what I stand for… I stand for “win/win” 🫶🏼

It’s a long and fun story and I will touch on the highlights that feel important to share as you decide whether or not to work together.

On 1/1/2006, I exited the “corporate world” of finance and hustle and went to work as a personal trainer/strength coach at a local 24 Hour Fitness. I was still married at the time, the kids were young and I am forever grateful we were able to make the financial adjustments necessary in order for this to happen. This was the first time I ever felt aligned with a profession/job.

Fast forward 10+ years, I received a massage license from Denver Integrative Massage in September of 2014. Funny thing is, I had no intention of ever practicing bodywork. It was only about building the resume (ego and identity). Funny how Life does things like that for us 🤲🏼💚

In 2016, “work life" started to shift. I was still working in the holistic health community with a focus on breath, movement, strength, sleep, neurological, nutrition, etc. A local physical therapy clinic reached out looking for a bodyworker. Even though I had a license, I was not practicing any bodywork. On a deeper level, I could feel something shifting so I accepted the offer feeling a lot of uncertainty. Life was never the same after that decision. I worked there 4 years. The focus of that work was mostly post-surgical/traumatic and somatic bodywork.

Believe it or not, I went on my own in 2020 and am grateful to still be in business and thriving 🤲🏼💖☯︎

Here are a few more experiences that have so lovingly prepared me for the type of work that is being offered through me. These are being shared to see if something resonates within you; not for pity. I survived them all and continue to move forward day by day 🫶🏼

  • Working under the guidance of a Shaman, Rolfer and Mental Health Coach for 15+ years.

  • experiencing sexual abuse and sexual assault on multiple occasions from around the age of 3 up until 18

  • the entire “narcissistic relationship/cycle” of life with multiple people including family of origin

  • navigating life with the CPTSD identity

  • Being familiar with the “black sheep” identity and accepting the grief that follows with this acknowledgement and acceptance

  • Going no contact with the family of origin starting with the father; having a child go no contact with me as well

  • navigating the divorce process

  • navigating the blended family dynamic

  • navigating the “witnessing” of multiple suicides over decades

  • navigating the bankruptcy process

  • navigating the intense fucking loss of your first pet

  • Working with people and pets at the end of their life including sitting with them in a hospice type setting as they "pass on" to the next realm/dimension.

  • Working with people whose bodies have been diagnosed with some form of cancer/disease. This includes those whose bodies are going through some type of chemo and or radiation treatments. Being there for them physically, emotionally and spiritually.  Accepting them as they are in the moment and perhaps giving their bodies gentle Love and attention, including cranial, intraoral (think tongue, gums, palettes, ptyeragoid) and lymphatic work. Lymphatic work is divine ☯︎

  • Working with people that wish to make lifestyle changes and have no frame of reference on where to start.  Many of these people are learning how to move their bodies again after traumatic surgeries and or accidents to their body including an NDE.  This can be an overwhelming process at first, especially figuring out how and where to start.  This has included such things as:

  1. reminding them how to move their body again in a safe and slow manner

  2. reminding them how to stay in body for longer periods of time

  3. learning how to shop/navigate a grocery store

  4. learning how to cook simple, “healthy” and practical meals that actually taste good and nourish the body

  5. remembering how to connect with their breath

  6. remembering how to fast properly

  7. remembering how to meditate with no goal including quieting the mind

  8. remember how to prepare for sleep in a healthy way

  9. the importance of digestion (parasympathetic nervous system of relax and digest)

  10. the importance of nervous system regulation (fight, flight, freeze, fawn to calm)

  11. helping them remember it is the trauma that happened in their body and not actually to them

  • Working with small businesses, small groups such as local neighborhoods/communities, churches, police academy, and in a gym/dojo type setting.

  • Working with individuals, families and “teams”.  This work is not limited to Colorado or the United States. This is also known as FMTY (fly me to you).  One fun example, in 2015, working and traveling with a client while allowing reality to present infinite moments to show an opportunity to integrate a change… and to integrate “wellness". We worked and visited such places together as Marrakesh, Paris, Megève, the Sahara and Casablanca to list a few. This also included "residing" in close proximity to the client for an agreed duration of time.  This allows for more spontaneous teachings and integrations of reality.  If this resonates with you or you know of someone that might resonate with this type of offering, feel free to have them inquire directly at info@jonesbodywork.com to discuss a win/win situation.
